Newspapers are essential workplaces
|
Over the past day, both the governments of Ontario and Quebec have ordered all non-essential workplaces to close in order to halt the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
|
News Media Canada is informing members in both of these provinces that newspapers have been deemed 'essential services' and will be allowed to continue operations.
|
|
We hope this helps to alleviate some of the uncertainty we have been hearing from publishers in these provinces.
