Young Canadian journalists looking to launch their career in the industry are encouraged to apply for the 2016 Michelle Lang Fellowship. The fellowship provides the winner the opportunity to work for a full year paid position in two of Canada’s busiest newsrooms. Fellows will work for approximately six months at The National Post for breaking news and in-depth stories coast to coast, and then approximately six months at the Calgary Herald.
The application deadline for the 2016 Michelle Lang Fellowship is Tuesday, August 2.
The annual fellowship program was established in honour of former Calgary Herald reporter Michelle Lang who was killed in December 2009 while covering the war in Afghanistan.
