Welcome to the industry ad campaigns page. These campaigns are designed for member newspapers to promote the news media industry. Ad material is available for use in print, digital and social platforms – at no charge. Publishers are welcome to use their own logo in place of, or in conjunction, with existing logos.

Ad creative has been designed in several different standard sizes but source files are available to customize sizes to fit your specs.

When Social Media Blocks Your News

It is time to support Canadian media.

With threats of social media blocking access to news sources, let’s encourage Canadians to visit our trusted Canadian news sources to get their news directly.

News Media Canada has produced a house ad for publishers to run on their own social media channels, in their printed pages, and on their websites.

Publishers are encouraged to add their own logo and link to their own news sites for social and digital formats. Captions are provided for social media placements.

Millennials Read Newspapers 2023

Gen Y and Gen Z read newspapers.

Younger readers (Gen Z and Gen Y/Millennials) are strong readers of newspapers in digital and print, driven by access on their phones. They are active in exploring alternate ways of accessing newspaper content like e-papers, podcasts and smart speakers.

On the same page. Four out of five people in Canada (83%) read newspaper content each week and trust the content they read, in print and digital formats.

Newspapers in print and in digital are an effective advertising medium, no matter whom you’re trying to reach. You want to reach those younger generations? They’re reading newspapers. You want to reach the older generations? They’ve always read newspapers.

What do younger readers and their boomer counterparts have in common? They’re both on the same page with their love for the print medium, which is one of several revelations to come out of the latest Newspapers 24/7 survey.

Big Words 2022

Newspapers 24/7: 2022

Great conversations don’t start themselves. Local news is all around us and powers our conversation in all types of settings with reliable stories and information.

Nine out of ten adults (86%) read newspapers, in print and digital formats, at least once a week.  Despite a multitude of media options and digital distractions, readers still turn to traditional news sources.
