Canadian Journalists for Free Expression will host its 19th annual awards gala at the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Toronto on December 1, 2016.
The CJFE Gala: A Night to Honour Courageous Reporting brings together the country’s leading figures in media, business and academia for an evening to honour the courageous journalists and free expression advocates around the world who have risked their jobs and freedom to shed light on the truth. The Gala will also pay tribute to the journalists and media workers who have been killed, mostly with impunity, as a direct result of their work over the past year.
