This year’s National Newspaper Week has been a raging success – and we’ve got the headlines to prove it.
Over the past week, we’ve seen some outstanding coverage of this year’s efforts to champion the importance of newspaper journalism.
From national dailies across the Postmedia chain, to regional powerhouses, such as Glacier Media, artist Ola Volo‘s message of ‘sparking conversation’ is one that has resonated with Canadians from coast to coast to coast.
“National Newspaper Week is a chance to celebrate the essential service newspapers provide and their ability to spark important conversations from coast to coast,” says Volo, whose mural work can be spotted in cities such as Vancouver, Montreal, and Los Angeles.
“I hope that when readers see my artwork, they feel empowered by the subject of news and are curious to look closer at the art to understand it better.”
We’ve compiled some additional media coverage we’re happy to share with you. You can read more about this year’s campaign here and here and here.
