Carla Allen, a journalist with Nova Scotia’s Tri-County Vanguard announced she has taken an early retirement. Her last day working with Saltwire was Jan 21.
Before beginning the next chapter in her life, Allen wrote a final piece that reflected on her years in community journalism.
“I’ll miss the thrill of writing people’s stories and sharing them for others to enjoy,” she writes in the piece. “I’ll also miss the networking with others in the community, and the distinction of representing a country-wide, multi-award winning newspaper and an informative website, Saltwire.com.”
