Inland Press: Saving Public Notice –– By Design

The requirement that public notices–“legals,” in the old newspaper terminology–be published in a print publication is coming under siege in state after state. While industry lobbying has staved off this threat, there are many things newspapers themselves can do to make their public notices more vital to readers.
