Thirty-nine advertising agencies have received the Community Newspaper Database (ComBase) pilot study data.
Interactive Market Systems (IMS) sent the data to the advertising agencies on March 18, 2002 to be used with the IMS software. The software allows advertisers to create complex media buys, create reach-frequency calculations and other complex functions.
IMS is one of two official software suppliers for the ComBase information. In Canada IMS is a licensed supplier of data from PMB, NADbank, BBM, Goldfarb and others.
IMS Senior Account Manager Sharon Dixon recently demonstrated the software to Canadian Community Newspapers Association staff.
The pilot study was conducted in five pilot markets (Toronto (ON), Red Deer (AB), Yorkton (SK), Killarney (MB), and Campbellton (NB), representing a variety of population groups and geographical areas.
