Ownership statistics for Canadian Community Newspapers Association (CCNA) members are now available online.
Visitors to www.communitynews.ca/ownership can view ownership information on CCNA’s membership in tabular format as well as a graphical ownership chart. Visitors can click on any of the numbers to get a breakdown of ‘who owns what’ in the community newspaper industry.
For example, if Company A owns 45 papers in BC, clicking on the number 45 would display all of the 45 papers Company A owns in BC.
The information for the ownership table is drawn from CCNA’s online database. CCNA members are urged to visit the site and submit any ownership changes of which they are aware.
