Start rounding up your best issues, stories, and photos of 2006, because Canadian Community Newspapers Association (CCNA) members now have a great new reason to be among the first to enter the 2007 Better Newspapers Competition (BNC).
CCNA is holding a special earlybird prize draw, and one lucky member will receive a voucher worth up to $1,500 toward the cost of attending the CCNA national convention. In order to be eligible, members must send their entries in by Wednesday, January 10.
Taking place May 9 to 11, 2007, in Winnipeg, the annual meeting of the association will be co-hosted by the Canadian Newspaper Association, which represents the daily press. This marks the first time in the 88-year history of CCNA that the two national newspaper associations will be gathered together. The winner of the earlybird prize will have the opportunity not only to attend the award ceremonies on May 11, but also to network with daily and community newspaper colleagues and to attend a wide range of educational sessions.
Full details will be outlined in the entry materials to be e-mailed by the CCNA office and available for downloading from the CCNA web site in late November.
