Did you know that the VC web site has almost all the information that you need about the Verified Circulation program? The site contains information such as how to join VC, downloading forms, viewing reports and accessing the VC Q&A column in The Publisher.
HereÔÇÖs some of the helpful information that the web site offers:
With a username and a password, the View Reports section allows you to access your current VC report. This is particularly valuable for publications with multi-location offices or for circulation managers who complete reports for several papers. You can also view an unlimited number of reports for an annual subscription fee of $200.00 + GST. To subscribe, contact the VC office.
The Download Forms section is one section that you will probably visit very often. Circulation managers can now download all mandatory forms, including the VC application form. All forms are available in portable document format and Excel format. Form X is also available as an auto-calculating form. This form is compatible with all versions of Excel version 5.0 and higher. The form performs all adding and averaging automatically, and gives warnings when values do not make sense, or exceed values permissible by VC policy.
Also on this section of the web site is Form X.3, which corresponds to the Distribution Areas section of Form X, and Form Z, which is mandatory for all papers. Also available for download is Form Y, which is mandatory for those papers who do their printing in-house, and Form G, for those papers with controlled circulation. Form Z.1 for extraordinary distribution can also be found on this page.
Other resources found on the Download Forms section that you may find useful are rate cards for both VC membership fees and the VC auditor fees, annual and interim report checklists to ensure that youÔÇÖve got everything completed for your report before you send it.
If you use an independent certified or chartered accountant, there are also guidelines and a sample letter for your accountant to refer to when auditing your reports.
Unable to get a copy of the VC Q&A column in The Publisher? You can access this information in the Latest VC News section on the site, found on the About VC page. Memos, announcements, and new policies can also be found in the latest VC News section.
As we continue to improve our services, members are welcome to visit the web site regularly for new and exciting resources/tools.
