David Skok, managing editor of globalnews.ca, has been chosen as this year’s winner of the Martin Wise Goodman Canadian Nieman Fellowship.
The prestigious fellowship allows journalists to pursue a year’s worth of courses at the university in an area of their choice. Skok will attend Harvard University to study ways to preserve the Canadian journalistic presence in the global media landscape. The fellowship is paid for through an endowment named for Martin Wise Goodman, the former president of Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd.
