The Toronto Star has been named the recipient of the Canadian Journalism Foundation’s Excellence in Journalism Award for the second year in arow.
The national award is given to a journalistic organization that embodies exemplary journalistic standards and practices. Editor Michael Cooke accepted the award during at the 14th annual CJF awards gala on Tuesday, June 7. The Winnipeg Free Press received honourable mention in the large media category and CBC Manitoba won the Excellence in Journalism Award in the small/local media category.
