The Edmonton Journal received four awards at the 25th annual feature writing contest held by the Society for Features Journalism (SFJ). Senior reporter Marty Klinkenberg won two second place awards in the General Feature category and the Integrated Storytelling category. In the Arts and Entertainment category, music writer Sandra Sperounes and theatre critic Liz Nicheolls received second place and an honourable mention respectively.
Misty Harris of Postmedia news was awarded an honourable mention in the Headlines category.

Winners will be honoured at the SFJ national conference at the Poynter Insitute in Florida on October 9-12.
