The entry deadline for the 2014 Tom Hanson Photojournalism Award is Thursday, January 9. The annual award is open to any Canadian photojournalist who has been in the business for less than five years, including students, freelancers and staff photographers currently employed at publications. The winning applicant will be given the chance to complete a six-week paid internship at The Canadian Press. The Tom Hanson Award was established in 2010 in honour of the award-winning CP photographer.
Finalists for the Hanson Award will be interviewed by the selection committee in January with a winner announced by early February, 2014.
