Newspapers and non-governments organizations across Canada will recognize Right to Know Week on September 26 to October 2, with Right to Know Day taking place on Wednesday, September 28.
The annual initiative is designed to raise awareness about an individual’s right to access government information. The campaign also highlights the importance of freedom of information, transparency and accountability in promoting democracy and good governance.
This year, there will be a number of special events and seminars taking place across the country in honour of the event. Visit www.righttoknow.ca for more information.
