Publishers start your engines and prepare your entries!
That’s because, the coveted Canadian Community Newspaper Awards (CCNAwards) are back and better than ever before. You’re invited to compete in News Media Canada’s annual awards program, which celebrates the very best in community newspapers across the country.
The entry book is now available online at www.communitynewspaperawards.ca. News Media Canada will begin accepting entries online on March 30 with a submission deadline of Monday, April 30.
News Media Canada members are invited to submit entries early for a chance to win back their total entry fee. The early-bird deadline is Friday, April 13.
An announcement listing the winners will be made on Monday, June 18.
A couple of changes to the program:
- The CCNAwards are now open to both member and non-member community newspapers.
- English and French entries in General Excellence, Editorial and Digital categories will be judged separately.
Participants can compete in a diverse range of categories covering editorial, photography and multimedia work in various circulation classes.
