Members in Ontario are receiving invoices from Stewardship Ontario (SO) for the cash portion of the NMC/OCNA Municipal Funding obligation set by the Resource Productivity Authority (RPRA) for the years 2020 and 2021. Some are also receiving emails regarding registry with RPRA including questions about their gross annual revenue from products and services in Ontario.
News Media Canada has requested meetings with Stewardship Ontario and RPRA in the coming weeks to seek transparency about how these assessments have been calculated to work toward a resolution.
