Quebec-based publisher Le Soleil has announced several staff changes as it begins 2024 as a digital-only publication.
Jean-Michel Genois Gagnon has been named as the publication’s new editor-in-chief. He has served two stints at le Soleil, as well as tenures at the Journal de Montréal and the Journal de Québec.
The publication also announced that Ludovic Côté will serve as the publication’s audience engagement and information head.
Mikaël Lalancette has been named as the sports editor, succeeding the recently-retired Carl Tardif. Correspondent Annie Lafrance will head the publication’s business section.
Éric Moreault, who until recently was director of digital content at Le Soleil, will share his expertise with all Coops de l’information media outlets.
