The CCNA’s Better Newspapers Competition (BNC) has a special earlybird prize draw for 2007, and one lucky member will receive a voucher worth up to $1,500 toward the cost of attending the CCNA’s National Convention in Winnipeg. In order to be eligible, members must submit their BNC entries by next Wednesday, January 10, 2007.

- CN’s Best Business Writing Award – $500 First Prize.

- George Cadogan Memorial Outstanding Columnist Award, sponsored by Cadogan Foundation Inc. – $500 First Prize
- Esso Journalism Award for Outstanding Reporter Initiative, sponsored by Imperial Oil Limited – $300 First Prize
- George Holmes Memorial Trophy for Best Photo Illustration – $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place.
