The Canadian Association of Journalists announced a number of staffing changes following the organization’s annual convention on May 13-14.
After 13 years of service, John Dickins has stepped down as the executive director and Mary Agnes Welch has resigned from the board of directors she joined in 2005. Four new directors have joined the national board; Melissa Lampan, Michel Rémy and Ruth Shead have been appointed regional directors, while Ellin Bessner of Centennial College in Toronto becomes the new national director for a two-year term.
