Three Black Press papers in British Columbia will amalgamate to become two new papers with a broader reach throughout the region. The Cariboo Advisor, the Williams Lake Tribune, and its weekend edition Tribune Weekend will merge effective September 4.
The new offerings will be the Williams Lake Tribune—to be distributed on Wednesdays—and a Weekend Advisor edition to be published on Fridays. The combined circulation of both free papers will cover more than 10,500 homes.
As part of these changes, readers will also no longer need a paid-subscription to access online content on The Tribune’s website.
“These changes will allow us to continue with an amazing editorial team that has the depth and experience to bring our community the complete story every time — whether it be hard news, business, sports or coverage of a community event,” said Tribune publisher Lisa Bowering.
