In 2013, Canada’s daily newspaper circulation (paid and free) stood at 5,655,572 copies on an average publishing day and 33,832,752 copies over the course of a week according to the latest circulation report released by Newspapers Canada.
There were 93 paid dailies in Canada last year and 19 free dailies for a grand total of 112 daily newspapers. A number of newspapers moved from a daily publishing schedule to a weekly frequency while some of the free distribution dailies ceased publication.
