Vancouver Sun sports writers Iain MacIntyre and Gary Kingston were among the winners at this year’s Paul Carson Broadcast & Media Awards. MacIntyre was named best sports columnist in Vancouver and Kingston earned the best specialist/beat writer award for his coverage of Olympic sports.
For publications outside of Vancouver, Times Colonist sports writer Cleve Dheensaw and photographer Bruce Stotesbury were honoured with the sports writer/reporter of the year and photographer of the year award respectively.
The awards are named after a former television and radio pioneer, the Paul Carson awards recognize excellence in sports broadcasting and journalism in British Columbia.
