The Globe and Mail came away with multiple wins at the Online News Association awards banquet held last weekend in Washington, D.C.
The Globe beat out the New York Times, among others, for general excellence in online journalism the large newsroom category. Its ‘Unfounded’ series also won special recognition for investigative and data journalism.
The Toronto Star was recognized with a nomination for an award for innovation in digital storytelling. It also received recognition for its public service journalism.
