Despite the fact that Canadians want to see government spending in newspapers, the federal government continues to spend a disproportionate amount on television.
Digital advertising is also on the rise, despite the lack of trust, ad fraud and non-urban internet penetration. The government has a duty to inform Canadians about its programs, services, policies and decisions.
Advertising is one of the many ways government can ensure individuals, families and businesses have the information they need to exercise their rights and responsibilities and to make decisions about their health, safety and security.
