Chronicle Herald associate publisher Ian Thompson has announced that the paper will begin charging for online content in the upcoming future. The Nova Scotia daily will also be rolling out some changes to its digital products, providing more niche content and videos on its website and mobile applications.
The Nova Scotia daily has not yet released details on when the online subscription model would be introduced or any specific pricing information.
In a column announcing the upcoming changes, Thompson did stipulate that print subscribers will continue to have unlimited access to all digital products and to the Herald Magazine once the paywall has launched.
