Black Press announced plans to merge two of its award-winning B.C. community newspapers: the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News and the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Times. The consolidated newspaper, operating under the name Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News, will feature expanded local news content and a new regional lifestyle print magazine published on a quarterly business.
“We view this as an important step in the evolution of community news media in the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows market,” explains Times publisher Lisa Farquharson. “This is the merger of two very successful community newspapers and their resources into one operation”
