The Toronto Star, National Post and the Winnipeg Free Press were among the media organizations honoured at the eighth annual Canadian Online Publishing Awards on Monday, November 7.
The national competition is open to publishers, non-profits and advertising agencies, and aims to promote and honour outstanding digital work and innovation among Canadian media.
The Toronto Star topped the COPA leaderboard this year with three Gold and two Silver medals. The daily paper took home first place awards for Best News Website, Best Multiplatform Solution and Best Video Content for its video on human trafficking.
The National Post won one Gold (Best Infographic) and two Silver awards. The Winnipeg Free Press earned one Gold (Best Editorial Packaging) and one Silver.
