Postmedia Network Inc., which recently purchased Canwest's publishing division, has reported third-quarter gains this fiscal year. The newspaper chain reported an overall revenue increase of one per cent. Despite the continued loss of classified, retail and insert ads, the company experienced a two per cent growth in advertising revenue for the print publication. Meanwhile, digital media revenues decreased 16 per cent, a decline that Postmedia CEO Paul Godfrey attributed to “a change in allocation between reporting segments."
