JULY 6, 2011 – Canadians can expect continued delays in mail service as the members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers process a backlog of letters and packages that accumulated in the system during the 13-day lockout. While the postal service resumed on June 27, Canada Post has warned customers that it will take some time to stabilize operations and that all service guarantees are suspended until further notice. The date-specific option on unaddressed admail is also currently unavailable.
