Newspapers Canada has released the fourth edition of The Press and The Courts for 2011 and a year end review. The latest issue of the bi-monthly legal bulletin includes coverage of the final resolution of the Roxanne Carr police video fight, which made clear that once material is filed as an exhibit in a court case it remains on the record, whether used or not. Also included in this issue, a former media lawyer is expressing concern about Internet free speech over the new federal Bill C-51.
