Newspapers Canada’s director, communications/events Cathy Dorn is retiring this month. Beginning her career in newspapers in the early 1980s, Dorn worked for a number of Ontario community papers and as a zone reporter for the Toronto Star before joining the Canadian Newspaper Association in 2000 as member services coordinator. During her 12 years with the CNA, she played an integral part in planning and executing the annual INK+BEYOND conference and a variety of events and association programs.
Following Dorn’s departure, Vanessa Wilson has joined the staff at Newspapers Canada to assist with planning the INK+BEYOND conference and trade show.
