Nearly eight in ten Canadian adults read a daily newspaper each week—in print and digital forms—according to the latest research from the Newspaper Audience Databank (NADbank). In markets that have access to daily newspapers, 10.6 million adults, or 51% of the market, read a printed newspaper or visit a newspaper website every single day. The study shows that while digital newspaper readership continues to grow, 80% of daily readers still turn to printed editions.
The 2012 NADbank Readership Results Study provides readership data for 83 Canadian newspapers and two Detroit newspapers in 52 markets across the country.
