The second issue of The Press and The Courts for 2013 is now available online. This quarterly legal bulletin provides coverage of various court cases affecting the media in Canada and abroad.
The latest issue highlights the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision regarding the Saskatchewan Human Rights code segment on hate speech. This edition also includes further details on Quebec court’s recent introduction of more draconian rules that forbid all forms of electronic communication from the courtroom.
The Press and The Courts Issue 2, Volume 32 is now available online in the Members Area of the Newspapers Canada website. Newspapers Canada also offers archival editions of the legal bulletin dating back to 1987.
