Newspapers Canada reports quarterly on daily newspaper revenues in three categories: print advertising, online/mobile advertising and circulation. Revenue data for the first and second quarter of 2013 has now been released. The reports indicate that online and mobile advertising continue to show dramatic growth while circulation revenue is increasing significantly following the decision by many publications to begin charging for access to online content.
Both the 2013 Q1 and Q2 revenue reports are available to members of the Canadian Newspaper Association (CNA) and the Canadian Community Newspapers Association (CCNA) on the Members-Only Reports webpage under the Members Area of the Newspapers Canada site.

The surveys have been conducted on behalf of Newspapers Canada by Totum Research and provide a high-level view of daily newspaper industry revenues. Surveys are conducted online and participating newspapers represent 98% of total daily newspaper circulation.
