On Thursday, March 26, Online Media Campus hosts a special webinar presentation to help editorial staff learn how to develop successful interviewing tactics for emotional situations. Presenter Lyle Muller, executive director-editor of the Iowa Center for Public Affairs Journalism, will share his tips on how to handle sensitive interviews that you might rather not have to do, but which are necessary to do your job.
Muller is a former editor of The Gazette (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) where he was a senior editor on the team that directed coverage of an Iowa flooding disaster, which won The Gazette the Society of Professional Journalists’ national Sigma Delta Chi award for deadline reporting in 2008.
