In May 2013, Canada’s largest daily newspaper published startling allegations regarding a video that purportedly shows Toronto Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine. Today, the scandal-plagued politician has become an international media sensation and the Toronto Star continues to lead the charge in covering the now-notorious mayor.

Editor Michael Cooke and investigative reporter Kevin Donovan will share their behind-the-scenes insights on how the paper got the scoop on the scandal at City Hall during a special Investigative Journalism panel at INK+BEYOND in Charlottetown on Friday, May 30.
