Digital media company La Presse announced last week that it has issued a voluntary departure program as it looks to eliminate 15 positions.
In total, these cuts would affect less than three per cent of its workforce.
Financial difficulties were citing as the impetus for the impending changes.
La Presse recently citied figures from Vividata’s fall readership study that showed the publication’s digital readership was growing. With 1.3 million daily readers and 2.2 million weekly readers, La Presse said it saw a 14 per cent increase year-over-year, a record growth for the company.
