Industry representatives from across Eastern Canada come together in Prince Edward Island this week for the first Georgetown Conference. Championed by Newspapers Atlantic, the three-day symposium will feature a number of speakers on the future of rural communities in the four Atlantic Provinces. Sessions will cover issues impacting rural communities and potential solutions to jumpstart and sustain non-urban economies.
In keeping with the theme of the event, the Telegraph-Journal has published a series of thought-provoking commentaries on how the citizens of New Brunswick are re-defining small towns and the rural way of life.
