The Globe and Mail’s custom content unit Content Studio has hired two new staff members. Sean Stanleigh is taking on a managing editor role after being product manager for Globe Drive and Report on Small Business. Michael Grier joining as Content Studio’s business director and will be in charge of managing the Globe Edge business unit. Grier previously worked for Totem Brand Stories, where he managed its business development team for North America.
Meanwhile, Greg Boyd is assuming the role of Digital News Editor at the Globe. Boyd previously ran the Toronto section, served as deputy national editor and, most recently, worked as a digitally focused news editor. Boyd will be responsible for making decisions throughout the day on the placement and play of stories on the app and for the new tablet edition of the Globe to be launched later this spring.
