Media consultant Val Hoeppner joins National Conference program

As media consumption habits in Canada continue to shift and evolve, it’s important for publications in both large and small markets to keep up with emerging technologies and innovative journalistic tools. Newspapers Canada is thrilled to announce that media consultant Val Hoeppner will be sharing her expert editorial insights with delegates at this year’s national conference in Toronto.

Hoeppner is a digital journalist, teacher, trainer and media strategist who has spent over 20 years in newsrooms as a photojournalist, newsroom leader and multimedia director.

On the afternoon of Friday, May 22, she will lead four editorial-focused presentations designed for journalists at community and daily newspapers. From timesaving tips to transformational ideas, Hoeppner is sure to inspire as she shows you how newsrooms of all sizes can create and optimize digital content to engage mobile audiences in exciting new ways. Don’t miss your chance to get inspired and take home practical new editorial strategies and solutions to implement at your publication.
