Which strategies and issues had the greatest impact on Canadian votes? What are the crucial next steps for prime minister-designate Justin Trudeau? The Canadian Journalism Foundation will host its first J-Talk in Vancouver on Tuesday October 27 in the wake of this tight and historic long-running race.
Tom Clark, chief political correspondent for Global National and the host of The West Block with Tom Clark, will moderate this post-election discussion—from the role of attack ads, social media and limited media coverage to hot-button issues such as the niqab and Syrian refugees.
Clark will be joined by speakers Susan Delacourt, author and columnist for the Toronto Star; Adam Radwanski, political columnist with The Globe and Mail; Hannah Thibedeau, political reporter for CBC News; and Paul Wells, political editor of Maclean’s magazine.
This talk is part of the CJF J-Talks series, exploring issues and challenges shaping journalism.
