With the proliferation of digital technologies, young people are more likely than their elders to prefer reading the news, a new study finds.
This finding was revealed through a survey-based study conducted by the Pew Research Center to better understand how Americans consume their news.
Overall, the study found that more American adults prefer to watch their news on television. Digging deeper, however, the study discovered that news consumption habits are deeply divided along generational lines. For example, those surveyed who were under 50 years of age had a marked preference for news presented in text format.
