CCNA announces 2006 national convention host city

The Canadian Community Newspapers Association’s (CCNA) 2006 convention will be held in historic Quebec City. Celebrating the 87th anniversary of the association, the event will take place from May 24 to 27 and will be co-hosted by the Quebec Community Newspapers Association.

CCNA announced its decision during its 86th national convention, which was held in Banff, Alberta, from June 1 to 4. A committee chaired by CCNA director Heather Dickson from Quebec will lead the development of the program schedule. Some 250 delegates from community newspapers from across Canada are expected to attend.

More information regarding the selected venue will follow in the weeks ahead.
