Winnipeg to host CCNA’s 2007 national convention

The Canadian Community Newspapers Association (CCNA) is pleased to announce that the 2007 national convention will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba in conjunction with the Canadian Newspapers Association (CNA). Celebrating the 88th anniversary of the association, the event will take place from May 9 ÔÇô 11, 2007 and will be co-hosted by the Manitoba Community Newspapers Association (MCNA).

Winnipeg is one of CanadaÔÇÖs most culturally vibrant cities, boasting a large community of artists, musicians, and cultural organizations.

CCNA announced its decision during its 87th national convention, which was held in Quebec City from May 24 to 27. A committee chaired by CCNA director Lana Meier will lead the development of the program schedule. Delegates from community newspapers across Canada are expected to attend.
