Fellowship for foreign reporting established in honour of Jim Travers

Canadian journalists and graduate students interested in pursuing a foreign story can now apply for financial aid under the R. James Travers Foreign Corresponding Fellowship. The fellowship has been established in commemoration of Jim Travers, a former Toronto Star columnist who passed away earlier this year. The fund will award $25,000 annually to a Canadian journalist working in any medium in order to finance significant foreign reporting projects.
