Hamilton Spectator wins award for health and poverty series

The Hamilton Spectator has been recognized by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada and the Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health for its series, BORN: A Code Red Project. The investigative series exploring the link between poverty and the health of mothers and babies was named print journalism series of the year by the two health organizations.

Reporters Teri Pecoskie and Steve Buist will accept the award on June 22 during the CFWH 2012 Healthy Women, Healthy Future Gala and Research Awards Ceremony in Ottawa.
