The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) has released its annual world press trends update. According to the report, world-wide newspaper circulation fell only 0.8 percent in 2009 a small decline, given the depth of the recession, and in comparison with declines in other industries. The report also forecasts a strong growth in print advertising with global revenues predicted to increase 3.5 percent worldwide.
