Wayne Thibodeau named managing editor of The Guardian

Wayne Thibodeau is the new managing editor at The Guardian in Charlottetown. Thibodeau first joined the daily in 1998 as chief political reporter. He subsequently served as both a news editor and as a senior correspondent.

In addition to his new position as managing editor, Thibodeau will serve the wider role of regional editor for Prince Edward Island, which includes responsibility for the Summerside-based Journal-Pioneer.

Thibodeau succeeds longtime managing editor Gary MacDougall retired earlier this year in June.
